    Director's Notes:

Thirty-five years: an achievement in so many ways! Welcome to Northern Lehigh Little Theatre's 35th musical production. This year we celebrate the tradition that we have come to cherish here in our district and community. It is incredible to me how far this program has come. From humble beginnings to the Freddy Awards, our musical productions are a highlight of the community each and every year. This year we salute the thousands, yes thousands, of people who have come through the program as actors, stage crew, orchestra members, creative staff, business staff, and volunteers for 35 years. Without your contribution, whenever it was made, we would not be here. I would now like to take this director's note to thank two very important and special people whose contributions have gone beyond the normal "call of duty."

Mr. Rick Eckhart is, in my opinion, an institution here at Northern Lehigh. His amazing talent has been seen for nearly every show since we began in 1971. His experience and creativity have provided beautiful innovative sets for so long, we have come to expect them and each year we get so much more than we expected. Thank you, Rick, not only for your years of classroom teaching, but also for your countless hours behind the scenes!

Mrs. Margaret Hough is yet another hero of the theatre program. Margaret has served as our costume director for nine years and as a seamstress for long before that. Her contribution in assisting at every rehearsal with the business and background work has proven invaluable to the students of the program and to myself. Her costumes display a brilliant work ethic as she designs or sews every single one. Truly, an amazing feat! Thank you Margaret, for you time, dedication, and assistance for so many years!

Now, enjoy the magic, no pun intended of Bob Merrill's Carnival. This is one of the great musicals and is often overlooked. I hope you find this production worthy of the fantastic shows that have come before.
