    Director's Notes:

I would like to welcome all relatives, friends, administration, and staff to the Northern Lehigh Little Theatre. This year's production of "Cinderella" marks the twenty-ninth anniversary of musicals to be presented in the Northern Lehigh (Slatington) School District.

Impossible! Many things we do in our life seem impossible. Either we seem too weak, too feeble, too small, too large, or just too outclassed to make our greatest dreams come true. But it is within our heart, not in our stature, that our true strength lies. If you don't believe me, just take a look at the students in our own school district. At the beginning of the school year, if someone would have told you that our varsity football team would finish the season with ten wins, two losses and would be crowned Colonial League Champions, you would have said, "Impossible!" If someone would have envisioned that a tenacious student from our school district would have enough courage, talent, and guts to organize and direct the Senior Class Play, again, I bet you would have laughed and said, "Impossible!" Isn't life amazing? The human spirit is a fire that can never be extinguished.

You will find the same spirit in the main characters of our musical, Cinderella. She exhibits the same qualities that I described above. This classic tale will make you laugh, cry, and cheer for the human spirit locked up inside all of us. We also added a few surprises into this year's show. Make sure you are watching carefully, because this is one show you do not want to miss!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people who have sacrificed their time, efforts, and talents in order to make this show possible. To my wife, Nina, and my daughters, Bronwyn and Olivia, the staff of Cinderella, the wonderful students of the cast and crew, the parents (who have helped make the great sets, costumes, and fundraising possible), and you, for your constant support of fundraisers and ticket sales. Enjoy the show! And may all your impossible dreams come true!
