Director's Notes:
Based on the novel, "The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant," the cast of "Damn Yankees" led by Bob Hahn, Karie Papay, Terry Moser, A.J. Schaeffer, and Denise Dillon hit homeruns to a capacity ballpark three nights in a row. "Damn Yankees" was a funny and heart-warming fantasy which pits the Devil against the Washington Senators and the race for the pennant against the N.Y. Yankees. With highlights such as the Mambo Dance, the Washington Senators Little Leaguers, the obnoxious Devil, and the fine singing baseball team, the cast had to have heart. A.J. also knew, much to his displeasure, that whatever Lola wanted, Lola got. Directed by Larry Williams, sets by Rick Eckhart, and choreography by Cheryl Burke and Susie Queen, this grand and lively musical was ready for the big league.
