Director's Notes:
"The King and I," which opened on March 30, 1982 in the new Northern Lehigh Little Theatre in the new Northern Lehigh High School, was comprised of the largest casts in the history of Northern Lehigh School District. One hundred and twenty cast members, grades 1 through 12, were put on stage to officially dedicate the new theatre. With John Ortiz portraying the King, even to the point of donning a bald head, and Lorraine Frey, as Anna, the show was performed for four full houses. The beautiful scenery by Rick Eckhart and each silk & velvet costume hand made by Marie Roth, brought this fabulous show to life. Directed by Larry A. Williams and choreographed by Jodi Roberts, this memorable production was a great way to open a new high school.
