Slatington High School Football Team of 1968
Tonight Northern Lehigh High School is pleased to welcome the Slatington High School Football Team of 1968. The success of the season was due to the devotion and determination of both the players and the coaches. The record for the year in the Old Lehigh Valley Interscholastic League when they played Parkland, Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg, Emmaus, Northampton, Whitehall, Lehighton, and Jim Thorpe in addition to today's schools Palmerton and Catasauqua was 9 wins 1 loss. This team averaged over 38 points per game and gave up less than 4 points per game. The combination of winning spirit, hard work, and dedication was the foundation of a record breaking season and we congratulate them on their accomplishment. At this time we would like to recognize the members of the Football team of 1968 which was the first team our school's history to win a championship.
