District Goals (2022-2025)

Student Outcomes 

Math: By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have improved achievement in math by 15%. [21-22 Math - PSSA: SE = 34.2%, MS = 12.3% -  Keystones: MS = 83.8%, HS = 19.7%]

    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we will have improved achievement in math by 5%.
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we will have improved achievement in math by an additional 5%. 

English Language Arts: By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have improved achievement in ELA by 15%. [21-22 Math - PSSA: SE = 51.0%, MS = 47.9% -  Keystones: HS = 38.5%]

    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we will have improved achievement in math by 5%.
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we will have improved achievement in math by an additional 5%.


Professional Development

By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have an articulated curriculum for all subject areas.

    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we will have an articulated curriculum for math, English/language arts (ELA), foreign language, technology, social studies, business, and English Language Development Program.
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we will have an articulated curriculum for family and consumer science, health/physical education, science, and careers
    • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have an articulated curriculum for art, music, and library

By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have common assessments and assessment practices for content areas listed below: 

    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we will have common assessments and assessment practices for math, ELA, and foreign language.
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we will have common assessments and assessment practices for social studies, business, technology.
    • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have common assessments and assessment practices for family and consumer science, health/physical education, science, and careers 

By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have entered curriculum into EdInsight and reviewed the curriculum for consistency and effectiveness. 

    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we will have entered curriculum into EdInsight for math, ELA, foreign language.
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we will have entered curriculum into EdInsight for social studies, business, technology.
    • By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have entered curriculum into EdInsight for family and consumer science, health/physical education, science, and careers


Culture & Climate

By the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we will have reduced the percent of secondary students who report "low satisfaction" or "low-moderate satisfaction" regarding feelings about school by 15%. [Baseline is 11% "low satisfaction" and 21% "low-moderate" for a total of 32%.]

    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, we will have reduced the percent of secondary students who report "low satisfaction" or "low-moderate satisfaction" regarding feelings about school by an additional 5%.
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, we will have reduced the percent of secondary students who report "low satisfaction" or "low-moderate satisfaction" regarding feelings about school by an additional 5%.


District Operations

The Northern Lehigh School District will continue to  provide the highest quality teaching and learning environment and services in a safe, healthy, and secure environment in the most cost efficient manner. 

    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, the district will have met all training requirements as required by Act 55.
    • By the end of the 2022-2023 school year, the district will have completed the Triennial Vulnerable Assessment.
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, the district police department will increase coverage for all district buildings and property. 
    • By the end of the 2023-2024 school year, all district buildings will have transitioned to solar energy.
