Production Notes:

Audiences were delighted when the curtain opened on April 28, 1977, on the beautiful scenery, the fascinating costumes, and the enchanting music of Scandanavia. The musical, based on the life of Edvard Grieg, played by Tom Yenser, and Louisa Giovanni, played by Jane Smith, was a bit difficult and serious for many of the students. However, the community greeted it with enthusiasm. George Fennell did a fine job with the challenge of a relatively inexperienced chorus and the difficulty of the music. Rick Eckhart's sets brought the show to life and Slatington High School succeeded once again.
