Director's Notes:
"Annie," which opened in the Northern Lehigh Little Theatre on May 1, 1986, brought to the stage for the first time the nostalgia of Depression-era America. Directors Cheryl Burke and Tom Yenser, set designer Rick Eckhart, and choreographer Susie Queen, did an excellent job of coordinating this musical based on the "Little Orphan Annie" comic strip character. Lisa Snell as Annie captured the hearts of the audience. So did the demeanor of Mike Kistler as Daddy Warbucks and the deviousness of Miss Hannigan portrayed by LeAnn Blose. The directors' goal of recreating dreams and aspirations of the era was certainly accomplished. The sun came out for sure in this fine production.
