District Goals (2019-2020)

  • Mission Statement 

    "The mission of the Northern Lehigh School District community is to create a challenging and supportive environment dedicated to meeting the diverse educational needs of all learners."

    Achievement & Growth

    School and Academic Department Leadership will utilize student achievement and growth data from state and/or local level assessments to determine an area of focus and develop an action plan to improve outcomes which are differentiated for all learners.

    Professional Development Goal

    Offer differentiated professional development based on the needs of each professional and support staff employee group. Professional development should be responsive to participant need, purposeful, and ongoing. Participants will be provided an opportunity for reflection and feedback.

    Culture & Climate

    All staff will understand the impact of trauma on the teaching and learning process and utilize strategies in the educational environment to support students who have experienced trauma.

    Instructional Technology Goal 

    Increase the role of technology outside of the classroom to enhance communication, collaboration, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

    District Operations

    The Northern Lehigh School District will provide high quality teaching in a safe and secure learning environment while offering cost efficient services to all stakeholders.

    SMART Goals

    These district level goals, if approved, will drive building level and administrative goals written in the SMART Goal model. This means they will be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely.
