    Slatington High School Football Team of 1969

    Northern Lehigh High School is pleased to welcome the Slatington High School Football Team of 1969. The record for the year in the Old Lehigh Valley Interscholastic League when they played Pennridge, Parkland, Lehighton, Emmaus, Northampton, Catasauqua, Whitehall, Stroudsburg, Upper Perkiomen, and Palmerton was 10 wins and 0 losses, noting the team’s rally cry of “Ten and O, Here We Go!” Don Rubright still has the record for most TD passes in a game (6 - tied with Gary VanNorman), Pete George has the most blocked punt return TD in a season (3). Team score 340 points while only allowing 46. Five shutouts on the year. Forced 38 turnovers on the year - 23 INT and 15 fumbles. Only allowed 7 TD on the season. At this time we would like to recognize the members of the Football team of 1969 which was the first team to be undefeated in our school's history and win a championship.
